Americans have more debt than ever before. A recent study shows that Americans, as a whole, are saving money at a lower rate than at any time since the Great Depression. In fact, the savings rate is actually negative, and that means that people are spending more money than they are earning. The problem with doing so is that it eventually catches up to you.
